CLASSIC MAIL BOX better know as ‘CMB’, is a program offered by our parent Company Jsl Speedpak Services Inc. Our CMB service is much like a POBOX account. Its members are offered a U.S. address, to facilitate purchases and home delivery of shipments from the United States. A yearly fee is charged in return for a flat per pound rate, no hidden fees or charges. Even though our CMB program may resemble a basic POBOX account, it is made far more superior by the customer friendly structure of the additional services our members are offered.

At Jsl Speedpak we believe in providing our clients with a comprehensive hassle free service. It stems from our desire to give clients the best we’ve got. Striving to achieve this goal has made the CMB program very diverse, catering to the uniqueness of our clients. Therein the Classic Mail Box program has evolved into three types of accounts:

  1. Classic Mail Box STANDARD. (A FREE service designed mainly for students.)

  2. Classic Mail Box GOLD. (An economic service designed for the working individual of today)

  3. Classic Mail Box PLATINUM (A Business Account designed to be an asset to any Entrepreneur or Corporation )

As you can see Jsl Speedpak Services Inc. has integrated online technological advances with the POBOX program, in order to give our customers the best experience at Classic Mail Box. A highly advanced web account with easily navigated online services, gives our customers access to any information they may need.
 

  How does it work?

First we suggest that you review our terms and conditions before signing up, putting you in a better position to make an informed decision. There are two ways to become a Classic Mail Box member; you can sign up online at www.jslspeedpak.com or you can contact our local office at 868-669-2133 in order to fill out an application. After becoming a Classic Mail Box member, you are assigned an account number and a U.S. address used for shipping purposes. This account number and address is to be provided to the merchants in the U.S., when submitting a delivery address. The address you are provided is not a P.O. Box but a physical mailing address in the U.S. It is important you maintain the format in which it is provided to prevent shipping delays. When we receive mail or packages, unless there are special handling instructions submitted by the client, they are automatically shipped to Trinidad, cleared through customs and delivered to your home or business address as you desire.

Upon delivery all charges incurred on the shipment will be due in full. This includes the freight, customs and any additional charges added for the use of other services. You can contact our CMB agent at the local office for the method of payment at 868-669-2133.

Classic Mail Box also caters to the Business industry that ships considerably heavy freight. Shipments that exceed a certain weight are automatically offered cargo rates under our parent company Jsl Speedpak Service. Jsl Speedpak being an experienced Freight forwarder for over 15 years can afford to offer competitive rates and shipping methods for larger cargo loads. Even though large shipments may be routed through our parent company, online access through your CMB account allows you to view warehouse receipts, submit alternative handling arrangements, track shipments and view invoices.

When your shipments arrive in Trinidad they are cleared in the courier bond at Piarco Airport instead of being handled as cargo freight. This expedites the clearance process, making it possible for us to have your shipment out for delivery by the next morning. Since your invoices are prepared and uploaded into our website the same night it is cleared, your shipment’s invoice can be viewed very early the next morning. This gives you an opportunity to prepare your payment for pick up before it is delivered to your home. If in the event you have received your shipment and you are unhappy with the condition of the merchandise. Placing a claim with Classic Mail Box is very easy. We have now made it possible for you to submit, monitor and close out a claim online. This is yet another example of Classic Mail Box’s desire to provide you, the customer, with the best service. Even when we mess up we have made telling us super efficient.
 

  Calculating Your Shipping Weight And Charges?

How do we calculate your shipments chargeable weight and bill your invoices?

  1. The Classic Mail Box program is based on the ‘which ever is greater’ system. In other words the chargeable weight is determined by which ever weight is greater for your shipment, the volume weight or the shipment’s actual weight.

  2. The volume weight is calculated by the Width X Length X Height /166 = lbs.

  3. The freight charges are determined by multiplying the chargeable weight with the per pound rate available. This rate will be based on what is offered in the CMB program you have chosen. There are no additional charges unless authorized, added to your invoice other than your agreed program per pound rate.

  4. When weighing shipments at our Miami warehouse, the weight is rounded off to the nearest one. Therefore if the shipment weighs 1.4 and lower = 1 lb,
    if it weighs 1.5 and up = 2 lbs.

  5. When the shipment arrives in Trinidad, it is cleared and an invoice is prepared. The additional charges are added to the freight on the AWB and the shipment is prepared for delivery.

  6. Any additional services required for your shipment, will appear on your AWB or invoice.

The Classic Mail Box program was not only tailored for shipping, but we have incorporated other services in the program that you can take advantage of as a CMB member. Apart from being convenient, reliable and confidential the CMB program offers an efficient way for clients to shop online. Jsl’s Classic Mail Box can take the hassle out of shopping. Directly from your online account you will be able to utilize our ShopAmerica Service, to purchase merchandise from vendors in the U.S. either in store or online, just by filling out a form.

Our CMB Platinum Business accounts also enjoy further features, such as their rewards program, free repackaging and consolidation. The rewards program allows our Business accounts an opportunity to make their hard earned money work for them. Shipping for a CMB Platinum customer is no longer just a service, but has now become an investment. Every pound that they ship is recorded as a deposit into their points account for future use. Those points can be redeemed in the form of a monetary gift certificate which can be applied as a discount for other freight, they can be applied directly to invoives for payment or they can be used to pay membership renewals.

J.S.L has gone even further to assist our customers by offering them free repackaging of shipments to reduce their volume weight. What this does is lower freight charges and eliminates the need for the customer to pay for unnecessary space in a shipment. Services like free repackaging, has a direct affect on a bottom line.

In the event our customers are shipping high valued items, we also offer insurance that covers theft or damage of any shipments that travel in our possession. A request for insurance has to be made in order for your shipment to be insured, unless the value of your shipment exceeds a preset limit. Insurance is then automatically applied to the shipment as a courtesy, to ensure the customer is covered regardless.
